FRED TALKS Tech Tip: Chrysler Ignition Coils

Fred’s Tech Tips are meant to solve a specific issue that has become common with a make/model(s)/year(s) of car and how to resolve it with the help of Bosch’s Family of tools & parts.

In this episode, Bosch Automotive Aftermarket’s Fred Padgett discusses the Ignition Coil issue occurring in certain years/makes/models of Chrysler vehicles. Owners may come across a rough running engine with the check engine light on. This may be an issue concerning the vehicle’s ignition coils leading to trouble with your engine’s performance.

With the help of Bosch Diagnostics Scan Tool such as a Bosch / OTC ADS625 the user can assess the condition of the ignition coil boots and the area around the coils in their vehicle. Once the issue has been identified with the accurate DTC code, the user can install a replacement set of Bosch Original Equipment Ignition Coils that is an exact fit in both fitment and performance.
