The rear-view system is designed to be a driver aid and is not an obstacle detection or safety system. The RVC system enables the vehicle operator to have an increased field of view and reduces the effects of blind spots. Mirrored video of the scene behind the vehicle rear – with overlays and graphics superimposed on the video stream – is sent to the radio module and displayed to the driver.
